The Old Village Post House offers travelers gracious and inviting accommodations set in the heart of a quaint, historic fishing community. Only minutes from downtown Charleston or the beaches on Sullivan's Island and the Isle of Palms, guests can relax and enjoy the peaceful, quiet neighborhood filled with old oak trees and harbor side homes. The inn features six guest rooms, a nationally recognized Southern Bistro with two dining rooms, a tavern and a welcoming courtyard. Enjoy casual fine dining featuring local and regional, seasonal ingredients served with warm hospitality. Rooms Each guest room is unique, varying in size and décor. All rooms have original hardwood floors, ten foot ceilings, ceiling fans, and central air/heat. Complimentary amenities for every room include wireless high-speed internet access, cable TV, telephone, whirlpool tub, hair dryer, irons, daily breakfast and more.   Room 1 - This pretty room located on the second floor of the inn provides a tranquil respite for guests. Enjoy a private bath with full sized whirlpool tub and shower; full sized two-poster bed, cable TV, telephone, and more. Rates: Begin at $145 plus hospitality tax.  Queen Room 2 - This intimate second floor guest room has a two-poster Queen bed, private bath with full sized whirlpool tub and shower, cable TV, telephone, and more. Rates: Begin at $145 plus hospitality tax.  Twin Room 3 - This pretty second floor room is furnished with two twin beds and has lots of windows and natural light. The slightly larger private bath has an elegant nonworking fireplace, reminiscent of the past. With hardwood floors and ten foot ceilings, this is the perfect room for a relaxing visit with family members and friends. Room three includes private bath with whirlpool tub and shower, cable TV, telephone and more.Rates: Begin at $145 plus hospitality tax.  King Room 4 - Located on the third floor of the inn, this spacious guest room features large windows overlooking the back of the property. Features a king sized poster bed, larger private bath with whirlpool tub and shower, cable TV, telephone, and more. Lovely floral colors and natural light combine for a most welcoming feel for guests.Rates: Begin at $165 plus hospitality tax.  Queen Suite Room 5 - This queen suite provides the perfect getaway! A small sitting area, private bedroom, and dormer windows create the feeling of cozy privacy on the third floor of the inn. The private bath has two doors, making it accessible from both the bed and sitting areas. Amenities Include whirlpool tub, cable TV and more. Rates: Begin at $165 plus hospitality tax.  Premium King Room 6 - Known as our honeymoon suite, this lovely large room features a four poster bed, sitting area, and extra large private bath. The oversized whirlpool tub can accommodate two! Overlooking the front of the inn, this suite is one you'll hate to leave. Cable TV, telephone and more included. Ask about our special wedding night package, for additional amenities to celebrate your special stay with us. Rates: Begin at $185 plus hospitality tax. Additional Amenities Complimentary continental breakfast is offered each morning in the tavern from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday. Enjoy pastries, fruit, coffee and juice while reading the daily paper, watching the news, or relaxing in the courtyard. On Sunday, enjoy complimentary offerings from our Sunday brunch menu, served from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. |
